FC Augsburg Loan Young Winger from Tottenham Hotspur with Six-Month Loan and Buyout Option

FC Augsburg has announced the loan signing of young winger Ryan Sessegnon from Tottenham Hotspur for six months.

The deal, which is expected to be worth €12m, will see Sessegnon join Augsburg on loan until the end of the season, with the option to buy him outright at the end of the campaign.

Sessegnon, who was born in England but represents Sierra Leone internationally, has made 55 appearances for Tottenham since joining them from Fulham in 2017. He has scored four goals and provided five assists during his time at the club.

Augsburg manager Oliver Glasner said: "We are delighted to welcome Ryan to FC Augsburg. His speed and technical ability make him a good fit for our team."

Sessegnon's arrival at Augsburg comes after the club struggled defensively last season, conceding 44 goals in 38 games. The winger's addition could help improve their defensive record this term.

The 20-year-old has been linked with a move away from Spurs in recent years, with reports suggesting he may leave the club this summer. However, the club have denied these claims and insisted that Sessegnon is committed to staying at White Hart Lane.

Sessegnon's loan move to Augsburg will provide him with the opportunity to gain more playing experience and develop his game further. He will now look to continue his impressive form at the German club, as they aim to secure promotion back to the Bundesliga next season.
